Our next JSMI Global Ventures mission trip will be to Nepal in November. It is only by God's supernatural provision that we are able to go. Coming off of the summer missions, we decided that we would probably have to sit Nepal out because of financial reasons. Each trip cost about $2800 per person, for a married couple that is $5600 per trip! This brings our total needed funds for 2010 around $20,000. So, we prayed about it and left it in God's hands. We said "God if you want us to go to Nepal, you are going to have to make the way." And He did just that, the day the ministry was booking tickets, God supernaturally brought in $4000 for us to be able to pay for our plane tickets! He is faithful and true! Now we only have to raise $1800 more and our trip will be paid in full! WooooHoooo! Every time God makes a way for us I feel like kicking myself for ever doubting or worrying about how or where the money will come from. Because I know that we are in the will of God, and as long as we are doing what He has called us to do, He will make the way and provide. Are there days when I want to give up and throw up my hands and walk away because it gets tough? Yes, I would be lying if I said otherwise, but in those times I just have to quiet myself and listen to His holy spirit. As each day passes confirmation after confirmation lets me know that this is the very thing we were made for!!!!! Thank you Lord, for you are my provider.

2010 Summer Update

Hi Everyone! I know I havent posted in a really long time, but I will try to get better. We got back from our summer mission trips last month and have been trying to get everything back in order. My parents moved out here to Oklahoma to be closer to us! I couldnt be happier!! It is really nice having them close to us now.

Anyway here are a few pictures from our trips to Cambodia, Thailand, and Peru. We saw many salvations and miracles! I will try and post our newsletter as soon as I get done with it. We had a great summer! Our next trip will be in November, when we will be heading to Nepal! This is our first trip there, so please keep us in your prayers as we travel.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!!

I love the Holiday season! There is just something wonderful about Thanksgiving and Christmas. Jeremy is annoyed at me because we share an office at the ministry and I am one of those people who like to start listening to Christmas music right after Halloween! We just have to meet in the middle, I only listen an hour here and there, while were at the office. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all of you! I hope your holidays are filled with joy and happiness. Thanks to all of you who have done so much for Jeremy and me in 2010. You all know who you are and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I also want to let you all know about our upcomming 2010 mission trips. This is where we are headed:
Thailand March 4-14
Cambodia June 3-13
Thailand June 18-27
Peru July 9-18
Nepal November 18-28

We are working hard to raise funds for these trips. Total cost for Jeremy and I to go to these places is $24,700. Back for a little while

We got back from Peru on Wednesday. We are happy to be home, but of course we miss being on the mission field. :( We had a great time in Peru! We saw over 13,400 salvations! It was amazing. However, we did get stuck in the Lima,Peru airport for almost 3 days! Oh well, we werent being martyred or persecuted, just bored! haha! We are home now for a little while. We may be going to the Philippines in November, but if not, Thailand in March will be our next trip. Until then, raising money and working at the ministry is what we will be doing. I am so excited about the new camera that my parents got me for an early birthday present! It is a nikon D60. I cannot wait to get some great pictures with it overseas. I am anxious to use it on the beautiful people in Cambodia, Thialand, and Peru. Oh well, maybe I will start blogging more. We have just been so busy with the ministry and the upcomming trips, and also Jeremy's brothers wedding. It is all good though. We are loving ever second of our new busy lives. I am so excited about our trips and cant wait to update you all when we get back!!

I am so ready to get on the field Ican hardly stand it. Our first stop will be in Cambodia starting June 18th! We are so excited about what God is doing in our lives, we cant wait to tell the world about Jesus and his great love. Our summer starting NOW will be extremely busy, but I will try to blog between trips with pictures and stories. We are in Alabama for the begining wedding festivities for Amanda and Judson's (Jeremy's brother) wedding. SNOW DAY!!

Well, I cant believe it, but we got about 6" of snow on Saturday. It was great because it was only in the low 30's and there was no ice like there was in January so we could actually drive safely! Anyway, really fun day but Jeremy was working so he couldnt play in the snow with us :( It went up to about 60 today so all of the snow melted fast. Just the way I like it, it was only cold enough to snow!!

I finally have my computer and internet up and running so hopefully I will be able to start blogging more often. First of all, let me say that we really love it here in Tulsa. We know that this is the place God wants us. Everything is going great with JSMI (the ministry we're working with) with many things on the horizion. We couldnt be more excited about the things that God is doing in our lives. The weather is so crazy out here, last week we had a pretty good ice storm and this week it is in the 70s. Not only the temperature change, but the wind is really strong most of the time. I guess because it is so very flat here, that the wind just moves right through!! I need a hairdo that works good with the messy look! haha! Anyway I have posted some pics I took of the surrounding area as well as some from the ice storm. Enjoy!

MOVING

Well, I hate to say it, but we moved out of our cute little house in Helena this weekend. I do have pics, however all of my cords and stuff are all packed up somewhere. We are staying with my parents for a week until we move to Tulsa on the 3rd because the people who bought our house wanted to start moving in today, so right now we are shuffled from here to there and to there again. Anyway, I am just glad that we actually sold our house in 3 months in an economy like this. It just goes to show you that no matter what the circumstances, God will always take care of you. He wants us in Tulsa, so we trust him to take care of every detail and we know that he will. Sometimes I wish I could fast forward through the times of uncomfortable transition, but then I wouldn't realize how much our God cares for our every need and want. I know that Jeremy and I have nothing to worry about. I am sure that some people would say that we are crazy to move across the country, away from our home, our good jobs, and other material things, but we have learned to follow our hearts and the voice of God no matter what our head says. As we embark on a new year and new chapter in our lives, we know that God is with us every step of the way. We are so excited to be going to Tulsa to learn from the best, John and Martine Smithwick. Blake is home!!

My little brother Blake is home from Oklahoma for Christmas and I could not be happier!!! We have missed him so much. He will be home until we move out to Oklahoma on the 3rd.
I guess you all should know that we have finally sold the house! We are scheduled to close on Monday night, so everyone pray that everything goes smoothly. They want to move in the day after Christmas, so that means we have to be out by Wednesday! Ahhhh, so hectic!
I am also DONE with school and I am now officially a graduate!! I am so happy about that, I can actually feel the stress leave me! I think I will finally feel at ease after the holidays and when we are settled in Tulsa. So much to be excited about I cant express how I feel. Just to let everyone know, never doubt GOD, he will ALWAYS take care of you and keep his promises.

House Update!

Well, there is a good chance that God has sent us the buyer for our house!! The guy made an offer last night, but he's going to be out of town for the weekend, so it gives us until Monday to think it over. We are so excited about this, but to tell you the truth I wish we could take it with us. I know we've only been here a year, but it has been perfect! This is me and Jeremy's first home and we thought we would stay here until we grew out of it in 5-10 years. It's okay though, I know that this is God's plan for us and I know that he will reward us for putting him first and following his will. If the chance ever comes for us to move back to the Birmingham area, we will more than likely move back to Helena. We love it here and it is such a great town to raise a family.

Is it Friday yet?! This comming weekend Jeremy and I are going to his hometown of Skipperville, AL to see family and friends. We are so excited because we havent been down there in a couple of months. We miss our family very very much and we can't wait to see them. So, I am really starting to feel bad for our Auburn Tigers. It hurt really bad the first two times they lost, but now we are used to it. I love them, but they are soooo sad this year! I wonder why both teams in the state cant be good at the same time, its either one or the other! Oh well, maybe they can redeem themselves next year.

House Update

Okay, so we got an offer on the house! However, it was 20,000 less than what we owe on the house! Can you believe it? Anyway, we did a counter offer, but she said she would have to think about it for a while. Jeremy and I have a really good feeling about this girl and her Realtor told us that she still really loves our house and she doesn't even want to look at anything else right now. Everyone just keep us in your prayers because we would really like to close by next month. I know that God is taking care of this situation and we trust him. I just get a little anxious sometimes.

I finally showed the house for the first time last Thursday! The guy seemed pretty interested and said he was going to see what he could get approved for! Hopefully, he will call back soon so we can get this ball rolling. We've had some others call about it, but they have'nt come out and look at it. I know that if we can just get them in the house, we will sell it in no time. We are trusting God that he is taking care of our every need so that we can do what he has called us to do.

Football season is finally here again and not a moment to soon! I am pumped, I love football season and the weather that comes with it. We are going to Tulsa for the weekend! My little brother is moving out there to intern with JSMI, the same ministry that Jeremy and I are moving out there for. Anyway, we are going to look at the duplex that we will be living in and meeting with Bro. John and Mrs. Martine to get some more details about our move in January! Well, I hate to say it but we are selling our cute little house in Helena. We are planning to move to Tulsa, OK in January. We decided to go ahead and put the house on the market now so that we could prepare for the BIG move. I hate to leave this place though. Jeremy and I are moving to Tulsa to work with the missionaries that we went to Peru with this summer. We had been praying for an opportunity, and we believe this is the door that God has opened for us. It is a great house, I just hope someone falls in love with it like we did when we saw it for the first time.

Peru!!

We are back from our mission trip! We had a great time and we miss it so very much. It was so bitter sweet leaving because we were ready to get home, but we didn't want to leave Peru. This trip has changed me and Jeremy's lives forever. We believe that this purpose is worth giving our lives to. We are praying and believing that God will show us what steps to take next. Going to a third world country or a developing nation will change your life. You don't realize how much you have until you see how they live everyday. I cant put into words how much the mission field feels like home to me and Jeremy. The final count for Peru is:
26,749 salvations and 569 miracles!

So Monday night was the finale of The Bacelorette. I am really happy that she chose Jesse. You can really tell that they love each other, especially if you saw the "after the rose" show. They are really cute together and I think that it will work out. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the Bachelorette's are the only relationships that work out. Most of the time the couple is not even together by the time the show is finished airing! Anyway, I think both of the guys were cutie-pies, but I think the reason I liked Jesse more is because of how nervous he would get, especially when he was on his way to pick out the ring and nearly threw-up! Poor thing! Anyways, they are really cute together and I wish them the best. Congrats to the new couple!!

Quick Update

Well, I apologize that I haven't posted in about a week and a half, I have been a little busy. I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July!! Jeremy and I did. We spent the weekend on Lay Lake with my family. I will post some pictures sometime this week, whenever I can borrow my moms camera because I forgot mine at home this weekend :(. Also, keep Jeremy and I in your prayers, we will be leaving on Friday for our much anticipated trip to Peru! We are so excited but we have alot to do. I always thought of Peru of having a really warm climate, but it is supposed to be in the 50s during the day and the 30s at night in the mountains where we will be doing the crusades. It feels strange to be packing winter clothes when it is 94 outside. I am sure that we will be so occupied by other things that we will not even really notice how cold it is.

Jeremy and I will be leaving for Peru in exactly 2 weeks. We are so very excited to go and share the love of Jesus with the people there. We are going with about 14 people from our church along with John Smithwick Ministries International. He and his wife Martine have devoted their lives for the harvest and spend there lives taking people on Mission trips to get their feet wet and see what reaching the lost world is all about. We will be ministering in the streets,villages,schools, and at night we will be having mass crusades and we will be able to see tens of thousands of people saved!! They will be hereing the Gospel for the first time ever! Can you believe that? I mean, we live in a country where there is a church on every corner. It is hard to believe that there are 3 BILLION people in this world who have never even heard the name JESUS before. Jeremy and I know in our hearts that we are called to preach the gospel around the world. We are so excited about our future it almost brings me to tears. My heart is moved with compassion when I think about the people who have never known the mercy and love of the one true God. We are so blessed to live in this country, but we need not forget about the world. "God only had one Son and he was a missionary"-unknown

Grand Opening

Hey Guys,

Wow! It has been really busy at work the last couple of weeks. As some of you know, I work at Bruce Office Supply & Furniture as their designer. Well, we just moved into a new building and I had to take on a 3800 sq ft showroom and design/layout/and decorate it with practicaly no experence under my belt! I was really nervous at first, but after just repeatadly telling myself "you can do this, this is what you went to school for!" I realized that I could do it and this is the finished product, or close to it. I am sure that the furniture and the accessories will be ever changing, but this is what it looks like right now. Also, some of the pictures still arent hung in these pics and also, some of the floral arragements arent in these pictures, so I will take some more on Monday and post them! So this is my first product as a Designer.
